Leveraging celebrity like ability to sell products
Technology is in the palm of our hands, which has resulted in advertisers being able to target us at a moment’s notice. Ad styles have progressed and become more model centric; the focus is no longer on the product, but rather on familiar faces representing a brand. Purchasing a pair of shoes or a handbag is no longer about looking great, its about engaging a lifestyle, not just purchasing a product. Celebrities now more than ever are becoming the models and faces we associate with particular brands. We see collaborations for major brands and stores with A List names that we associate and recognize. It is no longer just a pretty face with great product placement that sells a product. Brands must be socially responsible and align with the right celebrities to sell their vision, product and mission to the world. Tell me, what are you willing to spend to live the lifestyle you follow?
